History of E.O.T.A.

European Ohara Teachers Association

Greece was elected hosting country of the European Ohara Teachers Association (E.O.T.A.) for the period of 2005 – 2009 with Joanna Charitou-Barczyk, President of "E.O.T.A.- Greece". The Board of E.O.T.A.- Greece was composed by members of the Ohara Greek Chapter. E.O.T.A.- Greece organized 3 conventions in 2005, 2007, 2008 in Kinetta, Attica.
The Headquarters of Ohara School sent to Greece the following highly ranked Japanese Masters of Ohara School to direct the Ikebana seminars:
- October 2005: Associate Professor Takumi Ito and Assistant Professor Hiroyuki Kawakami.
- March 2007: Professor Hosen Izutani, President of the Council of Ohara Professors and Associate Professor Takumi Ito.
- October 2008: Associate Professor Hirokazu Yokohigashi and Assistant Professor Kumiko Miyazaki.
The conventions were attended by European Masters from Belgium, G.Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Guadeloupe, French Guyane, Holland, Italy, Jordan, Martinique, Spain and Switzerland.
